Laboratory automation
We are experts in analysis, development and implementation of automation projects as well as in the Bioinformatics support and maintenance of biotechnological tests. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have in this area.
The long experience of more than 20 years of EYOWN in the field of automation of laboratory processes, combined with the innovative capacity of our team, has led us to develop an automation protocol that summarises the different steps necessary to automate or modernise any process, test or technique carried out in a research or industrial development laboratory.
This protocol is made up of six sequential stages, starting with the study of the processes to be automated at the client’s premises, up to the maintenance and updating of previously developed systems. Depending on the initial degree of automation of our clients, this protocol can be implemented from an initial stage or from a more advanced stage.
In summary, the portfolio of services we offer in this area are:
- Technical and scientific advice on new automation processes.
- Integration of different laboratory instruments within robotic systems (hardware and software).
- Development of global applications for the automatic connection of pipetting stations with databases or LIMS.
- Installation, programming and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation: DNA and RNA Extraction Systems, Liquid Handling Stations, HTS Robotic Systems (Cell Line Maintenance, Compound Screening, Colony Selection, Enzymatic Tests, etc.), Fluorometers and Spectrophotometers, etc.
- Analysis, Development and Implementation of applications for the treatment, analysis and storage of data generated in all types of biological or chemical tests.

- Activity calculations, statistical studies, creation of graphical environments, image processing.
- Comparison of HPLC, UPLC, GC, etc. chromatograms for optimisation of selection processes.
- Customised quality control of different laboratory instruments.
- Online support with analysis and troubleshooting capabilities for laboratory instrumentation.
- Modification and correction of errors in applications associated with the equipment.
- Urgent resolution of malfunctions in various instruments.
